Springbok AI announces SpringLaw Tables

7 October 2024

Springbok AI, the generative AI pioneer behind the no-code legal-specialised SpringLaw platform, today announces the launch of a third feature within the SpringLaw Suite: Tables.

SpringLaw Tables, which launched this week following months of rigorous development, represents the third major enhancement to the SpringLaw platform. It empowers your lawyers to interrogate, filter, and compare up to 250 legal documents at once, offering rapid responses in a structured, tabular format within minutes.

Starting this week, the feature is available to all SpringLaw customers.

Tables can be easily used on multiple legal workflows; you can, for example:

  • Bulk contract review: Apply a pre-specified chain of prompts to any groups of contracts to compare information across a set of documents in minutes.

  • Supercharge the due diligence: assess your documents across a data room with ease. By simply uploading your documents into SpringLaw Tables, you can hunt for inconsistencies in clauses and definitions to ensure you don’t miss any crucial information.

  • Precedent Hunter: Hunt for a particular precedent clause or information pertaining to  single or multiple topics across a large volume of files.

“This new feature is set to become our most popular feature on the platform; Tables is our most robust tool yet, and reflects the results of ongoing internal testing and development. Its launch signifies a pivotal moment in the evolution of SpringLaw, and we are excited to make it available to our customers,” remarks Jason Ly, Springbok AI Cofounder and Head of Product and Solutions. “What is truly game changing about our new functionality is the ability to not only simultaneously interrogate, filter and compare large volumes of documents simultaneously, but the ability to clone a Table, release it practice or firm-wide, and then turn this into a bespoke client solution,” he continues.

The launch of SpringLaw Tables follows the public launch of the SpringLaw platform, which transitioned from private beta in June 2024. The SpringLaw platform is a no-code, LLM-agnostic solution that empowers law firms and legal professionals to transform their knowledge and processes into generative AI-powered tools, without the need to code or hire a development team.

SpringLaw is already trusted by leading firms such as Dentons, Charles Russell Speechlys, and Clyde & Co, each utilising the platform to swiftly transform use cases into bespoke legal tools. With the introduction of the Tables functionality, firms can now convert even more use cases - especially those requiring extensive data filtering, comparison, and interrogation - into strategic assets.

“SpringLaw Tables is poised to become an indispensable tool for lawyers in multi-document Q&A,” remarks Jonathan Talbot, former Head of Digital and Technology at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US.

"Tables is a vital addition to the SpringLaw Suite, offering significant value to daily legal tasks. With Tables, lawyers can quickly process and analyse large sets of documents, achieving detailed, tabularised outputs in minutes. This multi-step approach not only saves time but also provides a quality output thanks to our proprietary legal pipeline that underpins the SpringLaw platform. This means that our AI reads every line of a contract, just like a lawyer, and guarantees a high degree of output accuracy. As tools like this evolve, the legal industry may soon face a pivotal question: how can we utilise GenAI to amplify our niche and build strategic assets that we can whitelabel to our clients? The answer is simple: SpringLaw," remarks Victoria Albrecht, CEO of Springbok AI.

For Anthony Vigneron, Director of Legal Technology Solutions at Clifford Chance, "from what I’ve seen of Tables, it’s clear that it is far ahead of the competition. SpringLaw Tables has the potential to become one of the most powerful tools available, particularly given the wide range of tasks it supports across different practice areas— from witness statements to expert opinions, it’s ideally suited for managing multiple viewpoints, covering your blindspots and extracting answers from multiple documents quickly. I'm excited to see how lawyers use the tool, and how it will lead to the discovery of even more exciting use cases."

What sets the SpringLaw platform apart, and the three features housed within it- Wizards, Chats and Tables, is its output accuracy. Springbok’s secret sauce is in our proprietary data pipeline, developed with close feedback loops from multiple Global 200 law firms over the past 20 months. It has been created specifically for legal workflows, which ensures the LLM meticulously reads every word - just like a lawyer.

The new Tables feature is now available on the SpringLaw platform to existing customers. You can join Springbok’s live webinar, where they will demo the new functionality live and open the floor to questions, on the 9th October 2024 at 11am UK. For new customers, you can find more information on this new feature, and sign up to a 14 day free trial of the SpringLaw platform by visiting www.springbok.ai today.

About SpringLaw

SpringLaw uses a unique prompt architecture methodology that maximises the ability of LLMs to extract information from your data safely and securely. It uses military-grade encryption at rest and in transit and can be hosted by Springbok or your firm.

The platform comes with three features, Wizards, Chats and, now, Tables.

Wizards: Wizards allows users to create reusable workflow tools and client solutions based on their expertise, with options for fast or quality-assured services.

Chats: Chats enables legal professionals to interactively work with and manage multiple documents, using either preset or custom prompts to summarise, draft, and extract information.

Springbok AI’s user-friendly SpringLaw platform allows legal professionals to easily get started with generative AI, configure tools to their specific workflows, and build out entire practice toolkits. There are two main ways to achieve this on the SpringLaw platform: Firms with readily available Legal Engineer and Data Scientist resources can configure and create custom tools directly themselves via SpringLaw Wizards. If those resources aren’t available, firms and GCs can partner with Springbok AI for its concierge service to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
